Souvenirs 03:56
Sifting through the souvenirs, made me think, of all the parties on the west side. It seemed like the whole entire world, could change in just a single night. All those polaroids. Bright with the glow, of endless opprotunity. Scribbled notes, of blinding dreams of crushing, futility. Just one more, maybe one more, nothings gonna be the same again. Just one more, one more hour, this feeling never has to end. We could be free, it felt like we could be free like this forever. We could be, if we could be like this for the rest of our lives. Mining all those memories. For a clue, of how to capture, fleeting possibility. Numbers on a matchbook. Hinting at how much, better things could be. Just one more, one more hour, nothings gonna feel this way again.

Turn right here. Miss this place. Redirection has found a way to bind us together. Count mistakes. Evil truths. Stall on hope. It fills your glass, it spills on the floor. Sneek on past. No ones looking. You can't be missed. You dictionary. When you begin, I finally give in. Keep me company. And lead me into the dark. In hopes you'll provide a spark. And I've got evil truths, to keep you wondering. Quietly hum inside. It's best when you're all alone.

Let It Go 04:16
All I'm trying to do, is just let it go. Forget about, everything I know. I've got a simple goal. To live a different way. Forget about, what went wrong today. And I know. You're not the only one. To stop before you've begun. And I know, it couldn't just be me. With such a struggle to be free. All I aim to do. Is turn it around. And try to lose. Problems I've found. I've got a basic dream, to walk away. From everything that happened yesterday. Let it go, let it go. Don't hold your pain so tight. Let it go, let it go. Come alive again tonight. Let it go, let it go. Let it fade away. Let it go, let it go. Come alive today.

Feeling is right around here. Take those swollen eyes and disappear. And I've got, the less that I know. Drive on further down and let it go. Button your teeth, hope you don't fall. Hold your trembling hands on the wheel, before the call. Lost on his pretending for spite. Stomach fails on seeing eyes tonight. Make good promise ignition turns loud. Rest inside this mind avoid the crowd. Button your teeth, the moons out to steal. Close your trembling hands and focus on gripping the wheel. And I would prefer surrounding and making us square. If we had not spoke, to ruin what I'd buried there. Alone and quiet now. Build on these sour words. Hate yourself for awhile. Constructed so easy now. Just be still. Breaking it off again. Quiet now. It's hard if you're hearing it.

Camouflage 03:44
Imported cigarettes. Wildlife upholstery. Provential regret for your urbane debauchery. Drown out that potpourri. With shoplifted luxury perfume. And pile up those rent to own antiques into your lacey living room. Layer on, your camouflage. Square state, self sabotage. Cashmere aspirations. Applique reality. Parochial shame for your boutique depravity. Hide that, airbrushed timberwolf, with modern abstracts so obscure. Distract from your tweety bird tattoo with vinatge, haute couture. Layer on, your camoflage. Square state, self sabotage. You don't have to worry, your secrets safe with me.

Get away, with the things, that you own. All on a mission keeps us getting farther away. Untie all the ends, all alone. My premonition pockets all the words I can say, oh well it's all ok. Pleading on the phone. It's hard when you can't erase condition. Better off all alone. Late in the day, give up again. Can you make medicine with your eyes? Speeding the blood that keeps us getting farther away. Out of breath, at your door. Desperate and ignored. My premonition pockets all the words I can say, oh well it's all ok. Pleading on the phone. It's hard when you can't erase condition. Better off all alone. Late in the day, give up and all around. We don't need a mission when it's a take two to get postition for what I want to say. But this heart, has a hard beating lie. Take two to get permission, but I don't wanna say.

Struggling to stand uprght. To hold on tight. As everythings flying by. Fighting to hold your ground. No falling down. Against a darkening sky. Open the door and walk. Walk right out, into the hurricane. Open your arms and hold, hold onto. Onto the tidal wave and throw, down your shield and see if you fall on your knees, or rise from a lightened load. Battle to never bend, no giving in. As everythings falling down. Straining to never stretch, right to the edge. Standing on trembling ground. Open the gate and walk, walk right out. Into the undertow. Raise up the sash and wade, wade into. Into the overflow and throw, down your shield and see if you fall on your knees, or rise from a lightened load. Take off your armor and, feel the air on your skin. Why would you put it on again? Right up to the precipice. Bid farewell to your helplessness. Peer into the abyss. And lean.

Into the depths. Looking for a reason to never go back again. The middle got too easy, so you started flirting with the end. From the dark to the light, the light back to the dark again. Because it's not quite as warm without the cold nearby. So then it's run to the dark and sneek back to the light every now and then. No point in living if you never try to die. From the shadows, everything looks brighter then before. Dawns a hollow victory. If night falls, too easy to ignore. From the dark to the light, the light back to the dark again. Because it's not quite as warm without the cold nearby. So then it's run to the dark and sneek back to the light every now and then. No point in living if you never try to die. Then the thickness starts to thin. Then it's sneek from the light, and go back to the dark again. The dark to the light to the dark and back again. Looking for a reason to never go back again.

about

Edward The Confessor Minneapolis, Minnesota

Edward the Confessor is an independent rock band from Minneapolis, MN. The band's sound is based on indie guitar rock fundamentals intensified to produce complex melody and rhythm – a smart sound but with a strong pop accessibility. Vocal trade-offs, tangled guitars, intertwining drums and bass – the band is definitely a sum of the parts, with plenty of detail to capture people's attention. ... more
